Creating links in Canvas (Text Tutorial)

Links to websites and email addresses can be created for both text and images using the Canvas tool. All links to web pages are tracked as Clicks in your sent email reporting.

Image Links

  • Any image you add to your Canvas email can be turned into a link.
  • Select the image you want to link
  • Click the chain link icon on the top row of the toolbar. This will open the link dialog box
  • Leave Link Type as URL
  • Type in the web address to which you want to link. Be sure to select the protocol as http:// or https://, which ever one is appropriate
  • Click Ok
  • Your image is now a link. To test it, go to the Quick Preview section of the Canvas


Text Links

  • Any snippet of text within your email can be turned into a link.
  • Highlight the text you want to link
  • Click the chain link icon on the top row of the toolbar. This will open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box
  • Leave Link Type as URL
  • Type in the web address to which you want to link. Be sure to select the protocol as http:// or https://, which ever one is appropriate
  • Click Ok
  • Your selected text is now a link. To test it, go to the Quick Preview section of the Canvas


Email Address Links

  • In addition to linking to websites, you can also link both text and images to an email address.
  • Choose the image or text you’d like to link
  • Click the chain link icon on the top row of the toolbar. This will open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box
  • Change Link Type to Email
  • Type in the email address to which you’d like to link. You can also set up a specific Subject line and some content as well from this window if you want to
  • Click Ok
  • You now have a link to an email address. To test it, go to the Quick Preview section of the Canvas
