Sharing an email on Facebook or Twitter (Text tutorial)

There are two ways to add the sharing links to your email, you can share an article from within your email, ie a blog post or article on a website, or you can share the whole email.

To create the link to share an article on Facebook follow these steps:
- First, the article or post has to be published
- Copy the URL for this post and save it somewhere, Notepad or TextEdit will work great
- Take this url http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u= and then add the post url you just copied to the end of it. Here is an example:

http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://blog.verticalresponse.com/verticalresponse_blog/2011/01/email-resolutions-you-can-keep.html

You can now link a Facebook Share image or create a text link that says Share as you would any link in our system, just paste in the long url you just created in the box we provide.

To create a link to share the email on Facebook follow these steps:

- Create your email in your VR account, be sure to include the View in a browser link
- Send a test to yourself from step 3
- Click the View in a Browser link in your test email and copy the url that is in the browser window and save it in Notepad or similar program
- Take this url http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u= and then add the hosted url you just copied to the end of it. Here is an example:
